‘Typhoon Kanun makes landfall’ KBO League Jamsil, Incheon, Suwon, Gwangju 4 games canceled ‘to be rescheduled later’

Four KBO League games have been canceled in the aftermath of Typhoon Kanun (a name submitted by Thailand for a type of tropical fruit).

The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) announced on Tuesday that the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League games between Jamsil Samsung Doosan, Incheon NC-SSG, and Suwon Hanwha-KT, scheduled to be played at 6:30 p.m., have been canceled due to rain.

In addition, the LG-KIA game, which was scheduled to be played at the Gwangju-KIA Champions Field, was canceled due to ground conditions due to heavy rain in the morning.

The canceled games will be rescheduled at a later date.

Typhoon Kanun is currently heading north toward the Seoul metropolitan area after passing over Jeju Island and the southern provinces. According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the typhoon is expected to make landfall around 40 kilometers northeast of Seoul at 9 p.m. on the 11th. It is then expected to weaken to a tropical depression about 70 kilometers southeast of Hsinchu at 6 p.m. on Nov. 11 before dissipating.스포츠토토
