Six days after high-scoring win…KU beats Yonsei to win college basketball U-League title

Korea University defeated Yonsei University for the sixth time in eight days to claim the top spot in the Korea University Sports Council U-League men’s basketball.

KU, led by head coach Joo Hee-jung, beat Yonsei 60-57 in the final on Thursday at KU’s Hwajung Gymnasium in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul.

After winning three consecutive titles from 2013 to 2015, KU won its sixth U-League championship after winning the 2021 U-League Wangjung Championship and last year’s overall title.

In addition to the 64-60 victory in this year’s championship game, KU basketball also won a 72-64, eight-point victory over Yonsei in the regular season last year.

At this year’s Koyeon Games, KU suffered back-to-back losses in baseball and ice hockey, but the basketball team rebounded and won three straight games in rugby and soccer to win the overall title.

KU has been dominating its rivals in basketball, winning against Yonsei in an off-season match in May and in the residency tournament in July.아톰카지노
