Germany’s 2014 World Cup winner in Brazil, Julian Draxler, 29, has joined the ranks of European soccer stars heading to the Middle East.
Qatar’s Al Ahli SC announced the signing of Draxler, formerly of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in France, on its website on Monday. The deal is for two years.
The transfer fee is reportedly around 20 million euros (approximately 28.2 billion won).
Draxler, who was recognized as a promising prospect after representing Germany at various age groups, excelled in the Bundesliga before moving to PSG in 2017.먹튀검증
He spent six seasons at PSG, scoring 26 goals in 198 appearances.
After falling out of favor in his fourth year at PSG, Draxler spent last season on loan at Benfica in Portugal.
Draxler made 58 appearances (7 goals) for the national team and won a World Cup with them.
However, he hasn’t been called up to the national team since March of last year.
PSG have now sold three players to the Qatari league for a total of €85 million.
Previously, Marco Verratti and Abdou Diallo were sold to Qatar’s Al Ahly.
