Atlanta Braves slugger Matt Olson, 29, of Major League Baseball’s Atlanta Braves, has set a new franchise record for most home runs.

Atlanta, which clinched first place in the National League East, also got a two-run homer from Ozzie Albies in the first inning, giving him 30 homers on the season. Atlanta now has five players with 30 or more home runs in Olson, Albies, Ronald Acuña Jr. (37), Austin Riley (36), and Marcell Osuna (34). It’s the first time Atlanta has had five hitters hit 30 or more home runs in a season since the Minnesota Twins in 2019. Atlanta fell to 5-11 on the day.
