Korea’s men’s national team, including Jeong Ji-seok and Na Kyung-bok, will leave for the Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship on Saturday.

The South Korean men’s national volleyball team is taking another step toward world volleyball.

The Korea Volleyball Association announced on Aug. 16 that the men’s national team will participate in the 22nd Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship in Urmia, Iran, from Aug. 19 to 26, 2023.메이저놀이터

The men’s team, led by head coach Lim Do-heon, will send a total of 14 players. Hwang Seung-bin (KB Insurance) and Hwang Taek-ui (Armed Forces Athletic Corps) will lead the setters, while Park Kyung-min (Hyundai Capital) and Lee Sang-wook (Samsung Fire) will be responsible for the libero positions.

Na Kyung-bok (Ministry of Defense), Jeong Ji-seok (Korean Air), Jeong Jeong-yong (Korean Air), Lim Sung-jin (KEPCO), and Jeon Kwang-in (Hyundai Capital) are the outside hitters, while Heo Soo-bong (Hyundai Capital) and Lim Dong-hyuk (Korean Air) are the opposites. Kim Kyu-min (Korean Air), Lee Sang-hyun (Woori Card), and Kim Min-jae (Korean Air) were selected as middle blockers.

Korea will face Bangladesh (Aug. 19) and Pakistan (Aug. 21) in Group F at the Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship. The second-place finisher will advance to the round of 12 playoffs.

The men’s volleyball team gathered at Jincheon Athletes’ Village in mid-July for about four weeks of full-scale training and will depart Incheon International Airport today, Aug. 16, for Urmia, Iran, the host city of the tournament.
